Digital Archiving and Preservation Policy

Digital preservation refers to the systematic processes and technical activities undertaken to ensure that information stored in digital formats remains accessible, retrievable, and disseminable over the long term. The journal’s preservation strategy is designed to secure perpetual access to its digital scholarly content and comprises the following measures:

Website Archiving

All electronic materials (including the journal’s website, manuscripts, and related content) are maintained through a multi-source backup system. The primary content is hosted on an active server and made publicly accessible. Identical copies are simultaneously stored on two separate backup locations. In the event of a server malfunction, the secondary sources can be activated, ensuring restoration of access within approximately 24–36 hours.

Abstracting and Indexing Services

Our journal’s inclusion in Abstracting and Indexing (A&I) databases ensures the preservation of essential bibliographic information associated with published articles. Additionally, some A&I platforms store not only metadata but also the electronic versions of the articles. Through these systems, preserved copies of the journal’s scholarly output are made available to the academic community, thereby providing a complementary access route to the published content.

All articles are hosted on the journal website (edupij.com) with individual landing pages, DOIs and downloadable PDF files. The journal maintains a complete online archive of all past volumes and issues from 2012 to the present. In addition, the journal’s content is preserved through indexing in multiple external databases and repositories (e.g. DOAJ, ERIC and other library and database platforms), which contributes to long-term accessibility and discoverability of the published articles.
